Student of the School of Fine Arts in Iași (1914-1916) together with Constantin Artachino and Gheorghe Popovici and of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Rome (1920-1921), the artist Adam Bălțatu made his debut in Bucharest in 1919. Starting with 1925, his would get concerned with the creation of a work of significance, transfiguration, in which nature acquired increasingly more interpretations and spiritualizations. (GM)
