Adina Matei

The most well-known commissaire-priseur in Romania and with the most active Artmark auctions, Adina manages to keep the tension of the room alive and create a memorable experience for the participants, whether we are talking about half-hour auctions or duplex events, that extend late into the midnight. Adina Matei holds the auction records of the Romanian art market, being the one who led the auction of the most important Romanian works. The absolute record was achieved, under Adina’s guidance, in 2018. The masterpiece "Countrywoman with a white scarf", signed by Nicolae Grigorescu, was awarded for 340,000 euros after only 10 minutes of bidding. Adina Matei leads the house’s team of auction commissioners and aims to formalize this profession in Romania to international standards imposed by Artmark. In parallel, Adina is the founder of consulting companies in Creative Marketing Strategies, New Business & Business development for renowned brands in Romania.

Dragoș Mihăilă

In the summer of 2013, the Auction for Elegance (Licitația de Eleganță) carried out in Mamaia brought a new name to the Artmark auctioneer’s desk – that of Dragoş Mihăilă, a charismatic presence who inspires a fresh approach on the art market stage. What makes him stand out is an unusual mix of dynamism, spontaneity, knowledge of art management and over 7 years’ experience in customer care. To this add the pleasure of communication which radiates from the copywriter side of Dragoș Mihăilă (with the Intact Media Group since 2013). His euphonic, radio presenter-like voice, his dynamism and positive attitude make Dragoş a pleasant host and enable him to lend the energy and effervescence of an art show to the entire auction room.

Vlad Babenco

A graduate of the University of Bucharest, a bachelor of Communication Sciences and a Master of the Theory of Feminist Politics and the Protection of Minorities, Vlad has 6 years of experience with Artmark. He began by working in the Auction Sales department, where he discovered the pleasure of trading and becoming acquainted with art. Vlad is a lecturer within the “Art me up!” project and organises private tours within the ArtSafari Pavilion. He became an Artmark House auctioneer in 2014 and he has often been asked to take part in both art auctions and charitable auctions, due to his optimism and remarkable alacrity in bringing a genuine smile on people’s faces no matter the situation. His journeys for the purpose of either studying or exploring art and world cultures, together with the international projects he is part of make Vlad Babenco a valuable commissaire-priseur. What Vlad values the most is his relation with the auction room, as he is constantly engaged in a dynamic dialogue with the bidders.

Cristina Turnagiu Dragna

With a solid reputation built over 15 years of public relations and image management, specialising in etiquette and protocol, and having worked as a television journalist, Cristina Turnagiu Dragna is a distinguished and energising presence, a commissaire-priseur who presides over Artmark auctions with elegance and diplomacy. Cristina has been an Artmark auctioneer since 2017, a Lecturer of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, Secretary General of the Romanian Association for Protocol and Ceremony, and a trainer in business ethics and etiquette. Having activated in the field of aesthetics and harbouring a passion for design, scenography and decorative art, Cristina is the Official Auctioneer of the UNITER annual charitable auction “Dăruind vei Dobândi” (Giving You Shall Receive), as part of the National Theatre Festival, and of many other auctions founded on touching stories.

drd. Ioana Ciocoiu

With perseverance, dedication and passion for art, Ioana expressly contributed to the growth of the contemporary art market in Romania. With over 11 years of experience in the trade of cultural-artistic goods, Ioana joined the Artmark team in 2011, within the Evaluation Department, coming into first contact with contemporary art collectors, artists and cultural managers. Full member of the Association of Authorized Appraisers from Romania and the Association of Experts and Appraisers from Romania, Ioana collaborates, since 2014, with the Art Safari team, actively contributing to the implementation of contemporary art exhibitions. From the perspective of political science studies and art history, she sees in art a universal language, with an enormous potential for socio-cultural cohesion, too little explored in our country. From 2022, Ioana joins the Artmark team of auction commissioners, aiming to quantify the unique stories that accompany post-war and contemporary artworks.

Mirela Mateescu

Artmark's wine auctions are "reserved" for Mirela Mateescu, a maitre-priseur, whose green eyes can only compete with her chosen liqueurs. Mirela dedicated her great passion for wines and her professional training, being a graduate of the WineTaste School sommelier courses, as well as a graduate of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Academy in London, courses followed both in Romania and in France. WSET 3 certified, Mirela is Artmark House's wine curator and professional taster invited to judge wines in national competitions. Mirela is passionate about the sensational stories of each bottle, a lover of local varieties and enjoys every opportunity she has to share the magic of wine with those who are curious to know it. As the co-founder of the Taste Romania concept, she is a juror in national contests, determined to grow the market of collectible wines in Romania with each auction that she leads with charm and emotion.

Iana Bradu

A graduate of Theatre (class of Magda Catone and Tomi Cristin) and UNArte (where she studied painting with Mihai Sârbulescu and Petru Lucaci), Iana Bradu combines the art of performance with a passion for beauty in her role as an auction commissioner. Part of the Artmark team since 2022, Iana stands out through her infectious enthusiasm, calm rhythm, and the patience with which she conducts the auctions, always with a smile on her face. Deeply connected to opera, classical music, and Romanian modernity, she believes life is about color, sound, and harmony, and that auctions are the perfect stage to bring them together. With remarkable progress at the Artmark podium, Iana is preparing to manage international auctions in English, adding professionalism and value to the international transactions of the House.

Simona Chiș

Simona Chiș joins the Artmark Auction Commissioners team in 2024, driven by a long-standing passion and many years of experience within the House. We like to say that the famous Cluj School has also given the world an auction commissioner. Simona attended the courses of the University of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca, where she found her first mentors, but from where she also took the next step in her professional career, later continuing her studies at UNARTE and then at the Faculty of Business Administration in Bucharest. With a master’s degree in Art History and Philosophy of Culture from the University of Bucharest, Simona gained a deep understanding of artistic developments and cultural values that transcend eras, as well as a new passion – the avant-garde movement. She now admits that the most transformative professional experience for her was at Artmark, where she had the opportunity to connect deeply with the art world from a practical and authentic perspective.

Aleksandra Mitseva

Alexandra Mitseva is among the founders of Artmark Bulgaria in 2022. Her professional path began in 2015, when she worked in contemporary art galleries. Having defended her bachelor's degree in "Art History and Art Management" and her master's degree in "Comparative Art History", Mitseva never stops being curious and exploring art. In 2017, she turned to auctions, which are also her great passion. The development of the Bulgarian art market is her mission, dictated by her love for Bulgarian art and her desire for it to be widely distributed and accessible. With experience in sales and consulting collectors in the selection of works for their collections, Alexandra is also immersed in the world of auctioneers. With dynamism, a smile and a good mood, she has 4 successful auctions behind her and holds the record for the longest auction in Bulgaria, almost 6 hours.

Momchil Zlatarov

Momchil Zlatarov joined Artmark Auctioneers in 2024. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA (Hons) in Art History and the Courtauld Institute of Art with an MA in Post-Renaissance and Baroque Studies in Art History. During a 4-year period working in auction houses in the UK, Momchil has experience in specialized departments for paintings, furniture, decorative arts, whiskey and spirits. With a keen eye for detail, excellent social skills and extensive experience in researching and preparing auction catalogs, Momchil joined Artmark Bulgaria as a Consignment Specialist in 2024. He has previously worked on public exhibitions dedicated to some of the greatest names in the history of Bulgarian art, including Eliezer Alshekh, Nikola Tanev, Dechko Uzunov, Ivan Penkov, Boris Denev, Ivan Lazarov and Sirak Skitnik.

Mirna Mederal

With extensive experience in the fashion industry, Ines Bašić has been leading Artmark Croatia auctions since the very beginning, playing a key role in shaping the image and identity of the Croatian auction house. With a Master's degree in Fashion Design from the University of Zagreb, she turned her career from the fashion world to the art market, driven by her love of art and beauty, as well as her commitment to the development of the Croatian art scene. In 2021, she founded her own design and digital marketing business, using her knowledge and experience to support creative industries and luxury brands. Among her most notable achievements at Artmark is the successful organization of the humanitarian auction segment in collaboration with the Rotary Club Zagreb - Donji Grad, an initiative that raised significant funds for children in need, while strengthening the auction house's cultural impact. Ines sees her role at Artmark as a unique opportunity to connect and contribute to the world and art market in a practical and meaningful way, fostering personal and professional development. She considers managing Artmark auctions a key experience of her career, which inspired her to fully accept her authenticity and improve her leadership skills, communication and cultural engagement.

Marko Ferber

Marko joined the Artmark team in 2024 as a consignment associate. In his work, he collaborates with private collectors, galleries and cultural institutions throughout Croatia and the wider region. Thanks to his open approach, excellent communication skills and a strong sense of client needs, he has developed a systematic approach to consignment. He is actively involved in the selection, negotiation, positioning of artworks and mediation in their sale, and his contribution is reflected in numerous successful sales on the domestic market. His education in philosophy provides him with a broad historical and cultural perspective in understanding art. He is particularly interested in the ideological and conceptual frameworks of artworks, as well as their place within a wider cultural context. In his work, he collaborates with art historians, art experts and restorers, contributing to the professional valorization and presentation of artworks. Marko stands out as a dedicated and thorough mediator between artists, collectors and the market, with a keen sense of the cultural value and commercial potential of art. His work represents a valuable contribution to the development of the professional art market in Croatia.
