Description

With insistence on the motif, indispensable to his creation and the enduring values into which his painting was transformed, the artist Vasile Popescu's work becomes a pictorial testimony, surrounded by simplicity and lyricism. An important role in his work is played by color, invested by the artist with precise affective functions. Always limiting himself to a few basic colors, the artist paints with evident pleasure and remarkable vigor, demonstrating great skill in his brushstrokes, paying attention to both his characters and the props, accentuated by details.
