Italian professor Umberto Cianciolo was a close friend of the Sibiu Literary Circle during the interwar period and the first husband of the poet Eta Boeriu. A passionate researcher of Romanian literature, he published this critical edition of Eminescu's "Selected Poetry" at Modena. The cover and the spine are visibly marked by the passage of time.
