White envelope with stamp. Recipient: Florence Meyer, The Plaza Hotel, New York, New York City, USA; via Normandy. Stamp: Gare Saint Lazare, Paris, 20.05.1936. Sender: [unnamed]. Letter signed and dated Paris, 19.05.1936, addressed to Florence Meyer. Written with black ink, on both sides of a thin sheet measuring 28 x 18.7 cm, unfolded. "Paris, 19-5-36 Dear Florence, I am upset with myself for being late in writing to you. The main reason is that, before photographing the marble, I wanted to do a small retouch, and that took me so far that I am still continuing even now. I don't think I will manage to finish beautiful photographs, but I arranged everything so I could film it in a rotating motion, and if you don't pass by here before, I will send you the film. Otherwise, don't expect to recognize yourself because I only made a symbol. I am glad that the whole family is well and I would really like to pass by there, maybe I will come in the fall.
