Description

A student at the „Ioan Andreescu” Institute of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca, artist Istvan Kancsura will stand out starting in 1965 at group exhibitions, graphic salons, and biennials. He will undertake study trips to the USSR (1968) and Hungary (1969). Oriented towards the rationality of construction, the artist will evolve from figurative painting to a constructive image, which he will initially practice within easel painting and later in optical and kinetic constructions.
