La Agapia Bancila ajungea înca din tinere?e, însa în 1913 avea sa îl cunoasca pe scriitorul Gala Galaction, cel care îi elogia expozi?ia din 1914. Tot aici Bancila avea sa cunoasca familia lui Alexandru Vlahu?a, fiind cunoscut portretul pe care pictorul îl realizeaza maicu?ei Elisabeta Strajescu, sora scriitorului.
