The endless connection with art occurs in early childhood, more precisely during kindergarten, when Roman Tolici, in a true burst of inspiration, adds an ingenious trick to an apparently mundane theme. Sketching the outline of a house, the child Tolici decides to attach, in his plan, the details of some turrets, as he observes them in immediate reality. In this reminiscence of the artist, we decipher, for the first time, future concerns for the photographic rendering of everyday elements. Over time, Roman Tolici has distinguished himself as a remarkable exponent of photographic realism, through which he masterfully captures the poetry and surrealism of daily existence. He finds his sources of inspiration in simple things and never leaves the house without his camera. His working process therefore includes photographic documentation, which will later be transformed into reporting works or true reflective frescoes of real space. However, in the work at hand, we are dealing with the figurative-abstract aspect of his opera.
