The painting depicts the face of one of the characters from "Ãn urma convoiului" ("Behind the Parade"), a painting that was completed in 1924.
PROVENANCE
collection belonging to magistrate LazÄr Munteanu (1869-1951) - art collector Iancu Kalinderu's nephew (from mother's side), magistrate LazÄr Munteanu was one of the most important art collectors between the two World Wars, being present among the key representatives of Interwar Romanian art collectors, together with Krikor Zambaccian or Dr. Iosif Dona.
