Toma Vintilescu (Jan. 20, 1856 - Sept. 5, 1918) was born in Ploiesti. He has 4 children: Nicolae, Alexandru Aurel, Vintilă and Gheorghe. He had a workshop in the city (as recorded in the "Prahova Chronicle" by
Ruxandra Ionescu).
He painted or restored: St. Nicholas Church in Popești, Valea Dulce, Prahova County (attested, according to the inscription, in 1862); St. Voievozi Mihail and Gavril Church - 1897 (Church on the lake), Câmpina, Church of St. Voievozi and Good Friday in Edera.
