Animating his creation through static presences, in moments of relaxation or rest, the female presence will stand out in Petrașcu's creation with a rather restricted regularity. With a summary description, distanced from the classical canons, maintained along the way, the female presence will also resonate in the genre of the nude, noted in the artist's work since the second decade of the 1900s. The identity of the characters will be a familiar one, among the models who will often pose for him are his wife (Lucreția) or his daughter (Mariana), portrayed by the artist in the peaceful atmosphere of his interiors or near the seashore.
