Oscar Han's sculpture stands out for its particular concern over the psychology of his characters and his careful division of creation into themes such as love, war, faith. Sometimes, these themes intertwine, creating works of undisputed value, as is the case with the cycle dedicated to faith we distinguish works such as "Jesus and Mary Magdalene", "The Night of The Resurrection". Works like these, but also those dealing with adjacent subjects reveal the sculptor's interest in the human figure. His creations become harmonious architecture of the human body, dominated by empathy, candor and kindness. The sentimental value is often sculpted in bronze, and much less often in marble. A severe, very expressive modeling, in which the artist focuses on a subtle play of surfaces and carved lines, this time they represent the communion man-nature. We have in front of us the protagonist in monastic robes tenderly embracing the animal propped by his body, fact that also introduces another recurring motif of Oscar Han's creation: the embrace (we notice the closeness of beings and in the sculpture "Jesus and Mary Magdalene"). Saint Francis of Assisi, born at the beginning of the twelfth century and canonized in the next century, the initiator of the Franciscan Order, patron saint of ecology and animals, remains particularly known for his dedication to humanitarian causes. With concerns in the field of charity, he will be helped by his unbeatable charisma to successfully carry out his missions.
