The sword has a steel blade, with an ivory-plated handle and a brass guard decorated with Masonic symbols. The sheath is made of leather-wrapped wood, decorated at the ends with brass applications and tip. The walking stick has a triangular steel blade, with a very sharp tip, with an ivory handle shaped like a skull sitting on a book. The front of the book supports a silver Western noble coat of arms. The ring at the base of the ebony wood scabbard of the baton is also silver, decorated with a skull, symbol of the relentless passage of time. The box of the set is made of wood, padded with cherry velvet and externally wrapped in leather, the lock being Bramak London, an important manufacturer from the period. The lid and sides of the box are decorated with wide bands of engraved brass, with brass buttons in the form of stylized plant models. On the lid is a massive bronze monogram, composed of the initials RICB.
