222. "Mihaela" Glass Cup, cca. 1970

The character "Mihaela" was created by illustrator Nell Cobar and transformed into an animation film that enjoyed enormous success in its time, especially in the home country but also abroad, in the seventh decade of the twentieth century. The animated film "Thank You, Mihaela" won the Silver Lion trophy at the 1970 Venice Children's Film Festival. Accompanied by her friend Azorel, Mihaela became an iconic figure. The given glass followed the same fame, today being highly sought after by collectors. It is hand-drawn and colored after casting.
