The monetary emissions during the reign of Alexander I of Moldavia are "Double Groats", "Groats" and "Half Groats", coined in silver or billon. Caption: "MONE ALEXANDRI", "WD MOLDAVIENSIS" On the obverse side, we find the Moldavian Bull's Head with a star between its horns, the rosette on the right and the half moon on the left, and on the reverse side, the split shield: with three beams and seven lily flowers. Above the shield, there is the five globules rosette.

PROVENANCE

It originates from an auction house based in Sweden. The preliminary origin (March 2010) is the sale of the medieval Romanian coins collection belonging to a German numismatist, Berlin.
