The monetary emissions assigned to the reign of Stephen the Great are Double Groschen, Groschen and Half Groschen, perpetuating the previous monetary system. As a typology, the coins bearing the name of Stephen and assigned to Stephen II exist in six types. On the obverse side, we find the Moldavian Bull's Head with a star between his horns, the rosette on the right and the half moon on the left.

PROVENANCE

It originates from an auction house based in Sweden. The preliminary origin (March 2010) is the sale of the medieval Romanian coins collection belonging to a German numismatist, Berlin.
