The work was written by Adrien Poirters (1605-1674) who wrote the poems, Johannes Bolland (1596-1665) and Jean de Tollenaere (1582-1643) who made the texts, the engraver hornelis Galle (1576-1650) who made the engravings, Laurent Uwens (1589-1641) who translated the text from Latin to Dutch The piece, in the form of an engraving on hand-coloured copper after printing, represents the first page of the chapter dedicated to India.
