Roberto Carlos has played for the Brazilian national football team in three World Cups, helping his team reach the final in 1998 and win in 2002. He also teamed up with David Beckham and Luis Figo at Real Madrid, being part of the Galacticos group. In April 2013, he was included by Marca in "The best eleven in the history of Real Madrid". He is also known as one of the best left backs of all time, for the force of his free kick executions, which sometimes have a confusing effect on the goalkeeper, as well as for his numerous raids in support of the offense. In March 2007, Roberto Carlos became one of the five players who have played more than 100 matches in the Champions League at that time.
