Blana de leopard a fost primită cadou de Nicolae Ceaușescu din partea unui lider african. Relațiile dintre România comunistă și regimurile dictatoriale africane era strânsă și avea la bază interese economice și comerciale, ceea ce explică atenția de care se bucura liderul de la București. Certificatul cu nr. 0000491 emis de RAPPS demonstrează proveniența obiectului.
