"Ars Longa". The Chintilă Artists Family Collection Auction #441/2022

We celebrate 101 years since the birth of the prolific painter Spiru Chintilă, the last Great Governor of the Romanian Artists' Union. Over time, his monumental and decorative works of art remained a testimony in several cultural institutes in Romania. Part of his works - drawings, watercolour and oil paintings, illustrate the modernism of his creation, blending meticulously the two art movements of his era - Cubism and Fauvism. Along with the works signed by Spiru Chintilă, you will discover both works by his wife, Simona Vasiliu Chintilă, and their sons, Matei and Andrei Chintilă, and also collectibles belonging to the family of artists.
