Obverse: + "MONE ALEXANDRI" Reverse: + "WD MOLDAVIENSIS" Coined during the reign of Alexander I of Moldavia, between 1400 and 1432, the obverse contains, inside an inner circle, the Moldavian coat of arms: bull's head with a five-rays star between its horns, the odd ray pointing upwards, accompanied on the right side by a heraldic symbol consisting of a five petals' rosette, and a crescent moon on the left side. The reverse presents, inside an inner pearled circle, a vertically split shield, three beams in the foreground, and five lily flowers in the background, the shield being stamped by a bull's head, with a seal on its left side, and a pearled outer circle.
