The present work is a monument of Romanian culture in Transylvania during the Enlightenment period. Initiated by Samuil Micu and continued by other representatives of the Transylvanian School. Specialists consider it the first modern dictionary of the Romanian language. The text is arranged in two columns and is printed with Latin, Cyrillic, and Gothic characters. The typographic ornamentation found on the pages is simple. The title page is decorated with a rustic-inspired sequence. The binding is made of cardboard with a leather spine, period, but deteriorated today.
