38. My Mind in the Afternoon [2022]

Petrarchi’s nature researches and places everything that surrounds us under the magnifying glass, it tacitly analyses the internal layers of the organic, until it reaches the kernel of human nature. What he discovers in this initiatic journey into the core of humanity is universally valid, and it can be assimilated by neophytes, as well as by those initiated and familiarized with the theme of paradisiac consciousness. We can easily note that, behind the vegetation, the artist only reveals himself in passing, and what happens around is airily moved into the background. Various animals are each associated to a state or to a circumstance which, intuitively, set us thinking of human emotions, such as fear, apathy, aggression, forgetfulness, and security.
