Piliuță reveals his lyrical-reflective character by creating an imagery that forms into deeply meditative paintings. His art is discreet and elevated, and his drawing appears simple and well balanced. He is not interested in naturalistic imitation nor does he idealize the exuberant color used by his predecessors in the construction of still lifes. He is more focused on the decorative-affective synthesis of the floral portraits that he creates. He explores the explosive potential of the vegetation and subjects it to the preference for balance and harmony. Piliuță's flowers capture the absolute beauty of nature and the author's sensitivity. The artist elaborates a luminous crescendo by carefully relating the dark-toned strokes to the evocative white that articulates the work. He embroiders colors and synthesizes impressions, intuitively applies the paint and achieves a striking juxtaposition between the emotional and intellectual plane. The artist simplifies to an elementary botany, which is rather suggested, so that his flowers often appear as large bursts of color. Piliuță manages, with the skill of a virtuoso, to propose a new organization of the pictorial space and to give special attention to the translucent color that embraces a good part of his creation. Flowers are perceived as a refuge into the ineffable, and they also manage to enliven and animate the world in which they blossom.
