Often associated with the word "fantastic", Ștefan Câlția's works create rather an anhistorical atmosphere, flooded with divine spirit and ineffable light. The sky is the author's canvas. Characters, objects, non-living beings are designed according to the laws of nature or the context in which they are placed. The violent incompatibility is merely superficial, it is actually controlled out of a desire to impress and amaze. The character, this queen, is caught, like most of Ștefan Câlția's characters, levitating. It is not by chance that this hieratic figure, like an angel, hovers over mundane space, spreading dreams and playing the role of a witness of eternity. The flowers she carries take on the role of an offering. With a protective role for this queen, in our work the buffalo is itself a character, crossing over a pond. Beyond being a symbol of power, the buffalo is also a symbol of abundance and a rich harvest. In Buddhist writings, it is considered a sacred animal that has the power to make all wishes come true. Together on an initiatory journey, the queen and the buffalo outline the architecture of a cosmic world, where everything is caressed and protected by divine light, prayer and human deeds.
