Research information

The artwork was part of the exhibition "I Can See No Revolution", Cărturești Carusel, Bucharest, 2016.

Revoluția- motiv politic și social- a fost transpus plastic destul de târziu de Nicolae Comănescu. Cum să transformi un astfel de subiect extrem de dificil pe plan artistic? Momentul unic de la 1989 l-a surprins pe Nicolae Comănescu în armată, trăind din plin tensiunea, nesiguranța și violența. Lucrarea de față a făcut parte din expoziția eponimă, în care artistul și-a imaginat pe suprafețele de lucru diverse scene în care forțele de ordine instalează ordinea, iar forțele necontrolate ale străzii aduc haos. O interacțiune difuză, în care nu se poate spune cu exactitate cine e de partea binelui și cine de partea răului.
