An old, collectable, rare costume, Viscri subarea. Made up of five pieces, includes: blouse, sumna (cold season skirt), front apron, bow-ribbon, head dress. It is a special set due to the sombre chromatic unit and the temporal unit of the pieces and the dating of the front apron, with monogram and year 1903 and the presence of anthropomorphic motifs – the bride and groom at the wedding – in the motifs of the perimeter lace. The blouse is a rare piece, old, with detached bottoms, with turned sleeves, with fine stitching on the rustles of the sleeves and the upper side. The upper part is made of fine, hand-crafted jolj (cotton), with a wide vest at the front and narrow vest at the back, sewn with floral motifs with the tree of life. The dress or sumna (cold season skirt) evokes an old style, is ample, pleated, with flat side in front, where the apron falls. It is made of thick wool with cotton lining on the inside edge. The apron is a rare collector’s item – made of very fine jolj, with handmade lace inserts, sewn with white thread with anthropomorphic motifs – bride and groom at wedding, vegetable motifs, monogram and dating 1921 and 1903 in lace, sewing with floral motifs with black cotton and metallic thread. A set of mixed silk and cotton accessories are also included in the set. The head dress is made of satin cotton sewn to a cotton thread, the ribbon is made of silk damascus, in sombre tones with metal thread ribbonry.
