Jules Perahim (1914-2008) a debutat la vârsta de 17 ani în revista Unu, atașându-se de timpuriu mișcării de avangardă. De la aceasta până la proletcultismul epocii comuniste nu a făcut decât un pas, în anii '50-'60. Cele 20 de linogravuri inspirate de proverbele și zicătorile românești ilustrează talentul și versatilitatea artistului.
