The typeface of the writing published in the days of the Austrian Emperor Francis I, with the blessing of the Romanian Bishop Ioan Bob, is arranged in two columns. The text is adorned with frontispieces, ornate initials, vignettes, engravings and full-page engravings: the title page and the four Evangelists. The woodcuts are made by Sandul the Typographer, an artist with a real artistic sense, which gives this work a high editorial quality and a sense of pride for the printing house in Blaj, where a real bibliologic centre was established. The paper is of local production, made at the Episcopal Mill in Blaj. Period binding, red leather with wooden boards, the spine has been restored. Cover one has vegetal decoration, arranged in borders, a cross in the centre and medallions of the four evangelists at the corners. Cover four has elements of vegetal decoration and a central medallion with the Mother of God. The state of preservation is very good.
