The page numbering confirms we are dealing with a complete copy: Vol. I: (4) pages + p. I-XLVIII + p. 1-300; Vol. II: f. (1)-(2), + p. 1- 390. The binding of the two volumes is made with the help of cardboards wrapped in marbled brown leather, vintage. The uniform bookend of both bindings is decorated with gilded typographic motifs, which frame the text of the book’s title: "Histo Othoma. Tom I și II". The attached copy belongs to the French edition, more specifically the one printed in Paris in 1743, which has the following title page: "HISTOIRE DE L,EMPIRE OTHOMAN, OU SE VOYENT LES CAUSES DE SON AGGRANDISSEMENT ET DE SA DECADENCE Avec des Notes tres-instructives Par. S.A.S. DEMETRIUS CANTIMIR, Prince de Moldavie. Traduite en Francois par M. DE JONCQUIERES, Commandeur, Chanoine Regulier de l,Ordre Hospitalier du Saint Esprit de Montpellier. TOME I.
