Uncut copy, numbered 81 of 200. Ion Sofia Manolescu (1909-1993) was a poet and publicist associated with the avant-garde group "UNU" in the 1930s. In 1945 he received a ban on his signature, which he carried for over a decade, after which he returned to working in the press. Of note is the variety of jobs he held throughout his modest life, eventually professionalizing in agronomy. He debuted with "Odihna Neagră" ("Black rest") in 1936. He became a member of the Romanian Writers' Society on the recommendation of Tudor Arghezi.
