Corpul central este realizat din lemn de esenţă tare, băiţuit şi lăcuit, care are la extremitatea inferioară un vârf ascuţit din metal, folosit pentru a fi înfipt în pământ. Partea superioară este legată de corpul central printr-o articulaţie din metal care permite deschiderea mânerului, oferind o bază orizontală pentru aşezat.
