Realizat la sfârșitul secolului XIX, acest binoclu-lunetă a fost confecționat la magazinul optic, Villasante din Madrid, înființat la începutul secolului XIX. Magazinul se afla pe strada Principe, numărul 10, iar pe lunetele binoclului, se pot vedea inscripționate numele magazinului și adresa acestuia. Un astfel de binoclu era folosit de către marinari în timpul expedițiilor pe mare și pe ocean.
