The background of the icon is painted according to the iconographers’ rules, in front of conventional architectures, the three angels embodying God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (The Holy Trinity) are sitting at the table, under the Oak of Mamre, with Abraham and Sarah bringing them food (Genesis 18, 1-15). The composition is centred around the group of three angels. Abraham and Sarah are standing behind the angels, bringing bowls of food. The margin of the icon has a decorative element that lends the icon uniqueness. The balanced composition, the colour scheme, the typology of the faces, and the volume effect are typical for the post-Brâncovenesc icons from Wallachia in the second half of the 18th century.
