It features an inscription, made in red, in Serbian-edition Slavonic: "The holy icons have been renewed through the toil and hardship of lord Luka Janov Mižević, may God forgive him with all the founders, 1786". The transcription of the inscription was made possible through the kindness of Mr. Mihail-George Hâncu, researcher at the Institute for South-Eastern European Studies in Bucharest, who collaborated with Dr. Cristina Cojocaru, scientific researcher at the "G. Oprescu" Institute of Art History, Bucharest, for the identification of the provenance and documentation of the history of the piece.
