Pentru această eșarfă, ilustratorul Philippe Ledoux s-a inspirat din primele modele de automobile de la începutul secolului XX. Ledoux a fost recrutat de Robert Dumas în 1947 ca designer al casei Hermès, unde a creat 90 de modele de eșarfe, majoritatea cu temă ecvestră sau maritimă, până la tragica sa moarte în 1975, într-un accident de motocicletă. Prezentul model este unul dintre ultimele realizate de Ledoux. Cota 3B.
