Photograph illustrating Prince George Bibescu (1834-1902), son of the lord of Muntenia and father of aviator George Valentin Bibescu, during a fencing training. Prince Bibescu had an adventurous life, fought in Mexico as a French officer and published a book in Paris describing this moment. The photo was taken in Eugene Pirou's Parisian photographic studio.
