Adela Rosetti-Roznoveanu was born in an illustrious family of the great noble families of Moldova. She was the sister of Colonel Gheorghe Rosetti-Roznoveanu. Her parents built the palace of the same name in Iași, which today houses the local town hall. On the back of the photograph, there is a handwritten dedication to Giselle (Ecaterina) Suțu, wife of economist and politician Nicolae Suțu. Colonel Gheorghe Rosetti-Roznoveanu (1834-1904), participant in the War of Independence, deputy and senator, member of the Conservative Party, was the brother of Adele Rosetti-Roznoveanu. On the back of the photograph, there is a large handwritten dedication by the Colonel to his friend, Colonel Salmen.
