11. Deep in Thought (sculptor's model) [1931]

A student of the School of Fine Arts in Bucharest and the Kunstakademie in Munich, the artist Frederic Storck will stand out as a portraits sculptor, tomb figures, allegorical compositions, nudes, treated in a classical style. His interest in finishes led him in 1908 to associate with Vasile V. Rășcanu (1885 - 1980) to set up the first bronze art foundry in Romania, in Bucharest, known under the name of "V. V. Rășcanu & Co". (GM)
