Opera a participat la expoziția comemorativă "Gheorghe Petrașcu", Muzeul de Artă al R.P.R., octombrie-noiembrie 1957 și este menționată la cat. 203, pag. 62, sub titlul "Fierărie". Opera este reprodusă și menționată în catalogul expoziției "Gheorghe Petrașcu. Desenator și Gravor", Muzeul de Artă al R.S.R., București, 1972 la cat. 28, pag. 24. Varianta în ulei a operei se regăsește în colecția Muzeului Național Brukenthal.
