137. Nevermore (Alter Ego)

On the occasion of his personal exhibition opened at the Timișoara Art Museum, in 2019, Adrian-Silvan Ionescu captured the essence of Dorin Coltofeanu's creation: "Through Coltofeanu's work, the viewer is carried into a bygone world, of minstrels and travelling comedians, in an undefined and timeless space (....) A wandering vagabond, wrapped in a gray burnoose, sat down to rest on a bench and is silently communicating with a raven as if he were looking at himself, rediscovered, in a shard of mirror, just like the thinker from Edgar Alan Poe's poem."
