Compania Zeppelin a produs în timpul Primului Război Mondial numeroase aparate pentru aviația militară germană. Modelul Zeppelin-Staaken R VI era un aparat de zbor gigantic, asemănător omologului francez Farman Goliath și a operat și pe frontul din România. La sfârșitul războiului, un astfel de aparat era recuperat de armata română. Imaginile ni-l arată eșuat undeva în județul Galați, probabil lângă comuna Țepu, înconjurat de militari români și de doamne din protipendadă venite să vadă această "curiozitate".
