Vasul de tip castron era produs într-un atelier roman local din provincia Dacia în sec. II-III e.n. Confecționat manual la roată dintr-o pastă de bună calitate, fără impurități, și ars în cuptor închis, este angobat și prezintă un picior tip inel. Utilizarea lui era una casnică.
