The work called "Amphitheatre" dated 2008, made of wood, brass and pigments, suggests the idea of sacred geometry. This sculpture, emerged from the "appetite for centrality", is part of a series of works entitled "Facing the Centre". Its architectural structure follows the four cardinal points whose axes meet, is focused on a central point marked by the brass, circular "altar", bearing the line of the solarium sign "in hoc sihno vinces". The golden brass disc in the rectangular core of the amphitheatre marks the "scene" with references to the idea of offering. The cross sign is discreetly suggested by the four stairs that lower the viewer's gaze to the altar stage. Through the configuration of the formal elements, this transports the viewer's thought to the inscription of the circle in the square, to the fusion of heaven and earth symbolism. In this composition, the Amphitheatre becomes a place of meditation, a place of union between the terrestrial and the celestial symbolism.
