The artwork was part of the group exhibition "Salonul Anual de ArtÄ ARTIS 2020" ("ARTIS 2020 Annual Art Salon"), IaÈi, 2020.

"The Last Assault" is part of the major axis of preoccupations of the young artist from Iași Alexandru Burlacu, namely the exploration of the inner universe, taking as an excuse the animal element. The carnivore placed in a hieratic attitude is materialized here in the image, with a tendance towards monumentality, of the lion in an aggressive, attacking position, hence the inevitable extrapolation, suggested by the title, to the depths of the human psyche.
