Arthur Segal este astăzi văzut drept un produs al culturii europene, barierele teritoriale fiind depășite de însuși artistul ce a activat cu succes în România, Germania, Elveția și Anglia. A fost atras de cele mai pertinente curente care i-au fost contemporane. A pictat influențat de impresionism și postimpresionism, s-a raliat secesionismului german, a fost expresionist, cohetând însă și cu teoriile dadaiste. În paralel cu creaţia artistică și-a exercitat şi talentul de teoretician al picturii, fiind un profesor de mare succes.
