Pictor de formație germanică, Moscu a fost un personaj nelipsit de pe simezele expoziționale ale primei jumătăți a secolului XX. A fost activ în cadrul Tinerimii Artistice, dar și al Grupului Nostru, iar după 1944 a preluat conducerea Muzeului Aman, continuând misiunea lui Mișu Teișanu sau Dimitrie Berea.
