De origine nobilă, fiica unei familii de polonezi stabiliţi în România, Olga Greceanu s-a afirmat atât în artele plastice, cât şi ca scriitoare, publicând studii de istoria artei, scrieri istorice, literare sau religioase. Este unul dintre membrii fondatori ai Sindicatului Artelor Frumoase, pornește alături de Nina Arbore și Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck, "Asociaţia Artistelor Pictori şi Sculptori" şi are un rol decisiv în organizarea expoziţiilor Academiei de Arte Decorative.
