Anul 1996 a fost excelent pentru vinurile din St-Emilion, vinurile din acest an fiind longevive şi valori bune ca şi achiziţie. Château Laroze este un cupaj majoritar de Merlot cu Cabernet Franc, maturat 12-14 luni în butoaie mici de stejar franţuzesc parţial nou (60%) şi se impune ca unul dintre cele mai bune alternative din St-Emilion considerând preţul şi calitatea.
