Covată de frământat pâinea, de formă ovală cu urechi de prindere la ambele capete, cioplită dintr-o singură bucată de lemn. Fundul este aplatizat pentru a fi stabilă pe suprafață plană. Piesa se compune din mâner circular și scafa propriu-zisă, cu profil oval, și buza ascuțită.
